Geyser appears to leak from casing

1. Check that all plumbing connections are secure
2. check that the safety valve is piped to the exterior

In the event of the electric water heater having to be drained proceed as follows

1. Switch the electrical supply off
2. Turn the water supply off
3. Release pressure which may still be contained in the electric water heater by opening a hot water tap
